Customize a theme

Some parts of a theme can be edited or configured, by design is impossible to delete or remove an item in a theme. How to configure the default theme

Variables

Main variables are created from the file theme.json, can be updated but can’t be removed from the tool. The source of truth is always the value from the tool, so if a variable is changed in the tool and later in the config file that value wouldn’t be reflected.

Locales

Locales can be edited from the tool, also they can be unpublished and published.

Assets

Templates & Snippets

Templates & snippets can’t be removed from the tool and a developer should be edit this part in order to keep consistency.
